Exposed to treatments which caused the incursion of cuts and surface nicks, Daiwa was incredibly pleased to note that the ST Monofil still retained much of its remarkable strength.

Despite this strength, the Tournament ST Monofil has almost zero memory. This ensures that when this line comes off a reel you experience near perfect line lay every time. With a slick surface texture this line can cast out remarkable distances thanks to the minimal friction it incurs as it flies from the reel. This line also has an incredibly high knot strength, ensuring sturdy rig ties time after time.

The Daiwa Tournament ST Monofil has been so popular amongst the angling community that Daiwa has been forced to bring out 300m spools of the line, including line at a lower breaking strain of 5lb and 6lb. This was as a direct result of both members of the match fishing community as well as the lure fishing community requesting lower breaking strain versions of the line which would be suitable for their uses.
